When you book your vendors like Grace Pike Photography, you aren’t just buying photos, you are buying into and supporting an individual who has honed a skill and is a professional in their industry. A session with a photographer isn't just about the final product, it's an entire experience. Your wedding photographer is going to be by your side your entire wedding day. Having a good connection and relationship with them is going to allow you to have a lot more fun and ease some of the anxiety of being in front of the camera.

Grace is an amazing photographer! She photographed my wedding as well as some bridal portraits. She made me and my husband feel at home and comfortable while capturing intimate images. She takes what she does seriously and is extremely professional! Her end products are well worth her price and the time she puts into editing her images. She coordinated well with me, meeting me more than once to discuss exactly what I wanted her to do and she was perfect on the wedding day. I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer!

The Face Behind the Camera

Grace Pike is an Arkansas native; born and raised in Farmington. Grace has always had a passion for photography. When asked what she wanted to be when she grew up in middle school, Grace said that she would be a photographer some day. She jumped at the opportunity to take photography classes and computer classes in high school. She still uses those basics to fuel her photography today. Despite knowing what she wanted to do since 7th grade, after high school Grace attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville as an education major (like many of us in the wedding industry: yes, even me). In 2012, Grace started a small photography business to earn a little extra money, and fell in love with it. Eventually, her passion for photography grew and she changed her major to graphic design with a focus in photography.

After graduating from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelors of Arts in 2018, Grace got a job at Channel 5NEWS as their Sr. Digital Account Manager digital account manager and still works there full time. The small photography business Grace Pike started in college has grown into a second full time job through word of mouth and her social media accounts. Working two full time jobs is a lot, and Grace spends most of her free time editing photos and meeting with potential brides.

Capturing your Big Day

Initially, Grace did not plan to photograph weddings as there are a lot of high expectations and emotions involved. Grace Pike Photography initially took only senior and family photos, but once she did her first wedding, Grace caught the wedding bug. Today, Grace Pike Photography specializes in couples, engagements, and weddings.

Grace Pike Photography has several different packages to fit your photography needs: For weddings, Grace has a Simple Wedding Package for smaller, intimate weddings; an Essential Wedding Package for short weddings up to 4 hours; a Keepsake Package for 6 hour coverage; and the Heirloom Package for 8 hours of wedding day coverage. These packages vary in price from $850 to $2,500. For engagements, Grace Pike Photography offers 30 minute, 1 hour, and 2 hour packages for you and your fiancé. These range from $175 to $450.

“If you book with me we are gonna meet for coffee to make sure we are a good fit for one another and get along. I will be with you 24/7 on your wedding day and throughout the entire process” says Grace Pike. Grace can help you pick outfits for your couple sessions, assist with event timelines, and pose you for your photos. “I want to do everything I can to make your shoot or wedding a positive experience,” says Grace.

I couldn’t be happier with my decision for Grace to do the photography for my wedding. She also shot our engagement photos and my bridals and the results are stunning! Besides producing great work, Grace was a blast to work with! We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her and have beautiful photos to remember such a special time in our lives. Can’t recommend her enough!!

Advice from your Photographer

Grace Pike is a professional photographer with 10 years of experience. When asked for her advice Grace had several tips for choosing your vendors: “Pick your ideal vendors, and check their available dates as soon as possible.” If you know what vendors you want for your wedding, make an inquiry as soon as you get engaged. Most vendors book quickly and far in advance. “The worst thing in the world as a vendor is to turn away a bride.” Waiting too long can result in a vendor booking another wedding or event on your date. When this happens, it is absolutely heartbreaking to turn a bride down simply because you are already busy on their wedding day. To avoid this, “Book vendors as soon as you can.” Once you create your budget and inquire about the vendors you want, don’t put off booking unless you have too. Lastly, Grace encourages you to meet with your vendors before booking them, especially when it comes to your photographer and planner. “Wedding planners and photographers are your most interactive vendors.” These two people will be by your side every minute of your wedding day so it is important that you like them and get along.
