Tesori Bridal

Each month Aisle to Altar will feature a different wedding vendor in the Northwest Arkansas area. These vendors are the crème dela crème; each one with unique skills, expertise, and services. Not only are these vendors amazing at what they do, but they are amazing people. Through this series you will meet the names and faces behind these local companies, and learn their passions, their stories, their services, and their work. The 2021 March Vendor of the Month is: Tesori Bridal.

Not Always a Bridal Shop

Tesori Bridal was not always the bridal shop it is today. Tesori was founded by Fayetteville locals, Erin Bridges and Lindsey Stavely. Tesori originally opened as an upscale women’s clothing boutique in 2010. Over time, Erin and Lindsey noticed that the Northwest Arkansas area had a need for access to women’s formal wear. In 2013, Tesori transitioned from their upscale boutique clothing to a selection of prom and homecoming dresses. It wasn’t until 2014 that Tesori made the big change and began carrying designer wedding dresses. Today, Tesori Bridal exclusively carries designer bridal and bridesmaid dresses. Tesori Bridal would not be the fantastic bridal shop it is today without listening to and valuing the wants and needs of their customers. The staff at Tesori love getting to meet all of their brides and their sweet family and friends.

Steps to Picking your Wedding Dress:

With so many styles, designers, price points, and bridal shops, picking a dress can be a bit overwhelming. Luckily for you, Tesori Bridal has put together a list of steps to help you find the right dress for your wedding day with ease.

1. Asses your budget and pick a price point

This may not be the most fun step in picking out your dress, but it is easily the most important. With so many gowns to choose from, having a price point not only saves your bank account, but allows your bridal consultant to help make recommendations with your budget. Keep in mind that the majority of wedding dresses are between $1,500 and $2,500.

2. Call or Book your appointment

Next, book your appointment at the bridal shop. Tesori Bridal is currently offering in person and virtual appointments for both local and out of state brides. Keep in mind that dresses can take 4-6 months to arrive in store once the order is placed. So shop early! You want to have plenty of time for your dress to arrive and leave time for any necessary alterations between your appointment and wedding date.

3. Do some research and find dresses you like

It's a good idea to do some research before arriving at your appointment. Take some time to look online and in bridal magazines. Decide what style of dresses you do and do not like. Do you want sleeves or maybe a mermaid silhouette? Lace or satin? Look for dresses that reflect your personality and style.

4. Bring pictures to your appointment

Once you find some dresses and styles that you like, save the pictures and bring them to your appointment. This will help your consultant recommend similar dresses for you to try on based on your tastes. Remember to keep an open mind when trying on dresses. You might come into your appointment hating lace, and instead go home with a gown that has a beautiful lace bodice.

Advice for Brides to Be

You want to be comfortable trying on dresses on the day of your appointment, Tesori consultants recommend that you wear nude colored undergarments. The majority of gowns have cups sewn in, however, if you are more comfortable with a bra, wear strapless or petals. You might also consider bringing a pair of heels to your appointment if you want to see what a gown looks like with that additional height. Most importantly, Tesori advises brides to bring “a big smile and an open mind” to their bridal appointments. Be open to suggestions from your consultant; they are there to help you find the perfect dress that you feel beautiful in.

A bride wants to find a dress that they feel gorgeous in, not just a gorgeous dress they happen to be wearing.
