The Ultimate Wedding Shoe Game

Are you looking for a fun way to engage your guests? Whether it's your bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, welcome party, or even your wedding reception, this game is  the perfect way to entertain your guests and have a bit of fun yourself. I started seeing this game played at weddings about a year ago. This trend took off and now I see it all the time. Most often it is called the shoe game. Here’s how it works:

Each of you, the bride and groom, takes one of each of your shoes. I know gross right? Don’t let the possibility of stinky shoes turn you away. I have seen couples play this game at many weddings and everyone, including the couple has a ton of fun. Each of you should have one heel and one dress shoe, and be seated in chairs back to back similar to musical chairs. With the couple unable to see one another, an MC, whether that be one of your friends or the DJ, reads each of the questions below. Then the couple raises the shoe of the person who best fits the description. Here are some example questions:

  1. Who was interested first?

  2. Who said I love you first?

  3. Who made the first move?

  4. Who is more protective?

  5. Who mentioned marriage first?

  6. Who is the romantic one?

  7. Who is the better cook?

  8. Who is the better driver?

  9. Whose most likely to start an argument?

  10. Who’s the messier one?

  11. Who cleans more?

  12. Who cooks the most?

  13. Who eats the most?

  14. Who has to have the last word in an argument?

  15. Who spends the most money?

  16. Who wears the pants in the relationship?

  17. Who is more likely to cry at the movies?

  18. Who takes longer to get ready?

  19. Who is more likely to lose their wallet?

  20. Who's the worst drunk?

  21. Who is the first to apologize after a fight?

  22. Who's the funnier one?

  23. Who spends more time on their phone?

  24. Who is more stubborn?

  25. Who goes to bed first?

  26. Who is more likely to forget an important date?

  27. Who is the clumsy one?

  28. Who got better grades in school?

  29. Who’s the better dancer?

  30. Who replies to texts first?

  31. Who’s the better kisser?

  32. Who would die first in a zombie apocalypse?

  33. Who is the bigger drama queen/king?

  34. Who's going to drive the kids to school?

  35. Who’s going to be the strict parent?

  36. Who is more patient?

  41. Who's the most athletic?

  42. Who’s more competitive?

  43. Who’s more gullible?

  44. Who has the bigger ego?

  45. Who’s the little spoon?

  46. Who's more adventurous in bed?

  47. Who has the crazier family?

  48. Who makes more money?

  49. Who gets up first in the morning?

  50. Who has the best taste in music?

Pick your favorite questions from the list that you think your guests will enjoy the most, and you've got the perfect game to play at your wedding. It may be a bit cheesy, but guests get a kick out of watching couples anonymously choose who the funniest or messiest is in the relationship. I hope you have a blast playing this game at your event.
