Baking: A Family Hobby
Katherine (Kathy) Corona, Owner, Baker, and Cookie Decorator of Dulce Cookie Company was practically raised in a bakery in Southern California. Some of her favorite childhood memories are of running around her Uncle’s bakery and taste testing sweet bread. Kathy’s whole family has a love for baking. Kathy and her immediate family left California and moved to Rogers, Arkansas when she was 15, and it became her mother’s dream to open a bakery. Eventually Romina Bakery in Rogers was born. It wasn’t too long after her mother’s bakery opened, that Kathy herself began to start her own baking venture that would become Dulce Cookie Company, a custom decorated sugar cookie company operating out of her own home.
About Kathy
Kathy graduated from Rogers High School in 2010 and attended school at NWACC and the University of Arkansas with plans to be a teacher. While attending school, Kathy took on a job at a local Sam’s Club store. Since then she has worked her way to a full time job working at the Sam’s Club home office. Outside of work, Kathy is married and has two children, a boy and a girl. She loves watching sports, spending time with her children, and is a sucker for the Holidays.
Son’s Birthday Party Turned Side Hustle
While planning her son’s first birthday party, Kathy came across a new trendy style of decorated sugar cookies. She thought they were adorable, and perfect for her son’s birthday party. Instead of hiring someone else to make the cookies for her, she began watching youtube videos, and reading articles about cookies and icing recipes. After a few attempts and figuring out the right icing consistency, Kathy was making her own custom cookies. They were a huge success, and she had a lot of fun making them. In 2020, Kathy started Dulce Cookie Company and began selling her decorated cookies to the public.
The Perfect Cookies for your Next Event
Dulce Cookie Company’s cookies are not just adorable, and well decorated, but taste amazing too. I loved them so much that I placed an order for my own engagement party earlier this year and I highly recommend you order some for your next event too. Kathy has recently developed a website that makes ordering her cookies easy. You can view her gallery of cookies she has made in the past, see any pre-made cookies she has on sale at the moment, and submit an inquiry for your very own custom cookies. Once Kathy has received your inquiry, she will work with you to develop the design and colors for your cookies to match the theme and the decor of your event. Cookies are priced by the dozen and range from $39 - $48 a dozen depending on the design, and number of colors. Dulce Cookie Company serves all of the Northwest Arkansas area. Cookies can be picked up in Rogers. You can have your cookies scheduled to pick up within the week of your wedding as they will not get stale quickly. All of Dulce Cookie Company’s cookies are individually heat sealed in clear bags that will keep them fresh at room temperature for up to 3 weeks. When frozen, the cookies should remain soft for up to about 3 months. Kathy loves making holiday cookies for Halloween and Christmas, doing Disney character cookies for birthday parties, and sweet floral cookies for weddings. No matter what the type of event, Dulce Cookie Company is sure to provide you with the best sugar cookies.

Advice from Kathy
If you are planning your own wedding and are looking for some advice from a previous bride, Kathy has a bit of advice for you. “Have fun with it. I know it's easier said than done, and I know you want everything to be perfect, but try your hardest to have fun.” You are going to be engaged for such a short period of time, so why not enjoy it?
