From Marine Corps to Kitchen
Karla and Jeremy are the face and flavor behind Carmelita Catering Co. Karla, not Carmelita, is the face of their family business, but not the chef. The Chef behind the fantastic food and dining experience that Carmelita is known for is her Husband Jeremy, but he did not begin his career as a chef. Karla and Jeremy met online in 2011, and got married 9 months later. Jeremy spent 20 years in service as a US Marine. After retiring from the Marine Corps, Jeremy and Karla ran a barbeque food truck in San Diego called Devil Dogs BBQ. During this time Karla saw a side of Jeremy that she had never seen before as his love for food grew. Food became their love language.

Serving Their Community Through Food
Karla and Jeremy started Carmelita Catering Co in 2020 after moving to Arkansas in the middle of the COVID 19 Pandemic to share their love and passion for food. They saw a need for something different in the catering industry here in Northwest Arkansas. Karla and Jeremy have servant hearts and really care about their clients. Being a part of peoples special events allows them to create relationships with all of their clients. As they share their own family recipes with their clients, their clients become family.

Carmelita Catering Co doesn’t just make food, they create a unique catering experience that their clients and guests will remember for years to come. Carmelita Catering Co specializes in traditional Mexican cuisine, but also has an American menu and other unique catering stations. Karla and Jeremy offer many different catering options. You can choose between buffets, served and plated meals, family style meals, and specialized stations. They also provide other unique options to create a fun experience for you and your guests including: farm to table, carving stations, charcuterie and grazing tables, a donut wall, and even an ice cream cart.
Join the Carmelita Catering Family
You can join the Camelita Catering Family and hire Karla and Jeremy for your wedding or event by submitting an inquiry on their website HERE. Once you send your inquiry, if Carmelita Catering is available for your preferred date and you decide to book, you will fill out a questionnaire, and Karla will send you a brochure of their menu items and pricing. You can choose your appetizer, hors d’oeuvres, and main courses, from the brochure and even schedule a tasting. After the tasting, you can make any changes and finalize your menu as well as pay your deposit and sign the contract. Karla and Jeremy love sharing their passion and food with their clients and celebrating all of your important life events.

Advice from a Caterer
When asked what advice she has for brides planning their own weddings, Karla said first and foremost, “Be true to yourself.” When it comes to picking vendors, Karla says “When you click with a vendor, it's for a reason”. Vendors book up a year in advance, if you find the vendor you want, don't shop around. Vendors cannot guarantee to reserve your date for you unless you sign a contract and pay your deposit. Don’t wait longer than you have to. Karla and Jeremy want to wish you success in your wedding planning process and future.
