The Woman Behind The Camera
Jazmin Andrade, the owner and lead photographer of Jazmin Andrade Photography was born in Mexico, but grew up in Rogers, Arkansas. Today, Jazmin is still in Northwest Arkansas and living in Russellville. She was homeschooled during high school and worked her first job at a local donut shop when she was 16. It was about this time that a close family friend gifted her her very first camera. Jazmin’s interest in photography was ignited. The rest is history.
From Hobby to Full Time Business
As her passion and talent for photography grew, she began posting photos on her Instagram account. Jazmin then started getting requests to do senior and family portraits. In her interview, Jazmin said she actually started working weddings, “For the free cake” and because she always loved going to weddings when she was little. Jazmin shot her first wedding in 2017. By 2021, Jazmin was able to make Jazmin Andrade Photography her full time career.

Advice from a Professional Photographer
If you are planning your wedding right now, you have likely already been getting advice from friends and family about what they think you should do for your wedding. While it is so great that you have people to help you during this process, it isn’t uncommon for a bride like you to get overwhelmed and find that you don’t want to follow a lot of the advice you’re receiving. So rather than get bogged down or stressed trying to please everyone, listen to the advice of a professional that attends weddings for a living. When asked for her advice, Jazmin said, “Invite whoever you want! If you haven't talked to them in years, you shouldn't feel obligated to invite them. It's your wedding!” Guest lists can easily get out of hand and out of budget if you invite every childhood friend, extended family member, and acquaintance. If you are looking for an excuse to not invite someone to your wedding, stop. You do not need an excuse. It is your wedding and only those that you want to invite should receive an invitation.
