The Woman Behind the Camera
The owner and woman behind the camera of Whitney Mabie Photography is the one and only Whitney Mabie. Whitney is an Arkansas native from Winslow and attended college at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. During her sophomore year of college, Whitney decided it wasn’t for her, and was interested in a more creative career. After leaving Arkansas Tech, Whitney got her first camera in 2014. For the next 5 years, Whitney taught herself photography with the help of Youtube and other members of the photography community. During her time as a hobby photographer, Whitney primarily photographed landscapes. It wasn’t till 2020, that she began photography professionally.
From Hobby to Career
When Whitney’s son Layne was born in 2019, she wanted to get professional photos taken of him. As a young new mom, Whitney found that professional photography was just out of her reach. Professional photographers can often be very expensive. In order to get photos of her baby boy, she knew she’d have to take them herself. She started taking photos of him and decided to take a photo of him almost every day for his first year. This was the beginning of Whitney’s career photographing newborns, families, and weddings. During this same time, Whitney had been going to cosmetology school, but her photography career was really taking off. Changing careers is not an easy thing to do. During this career change, Whitney’s husband was her biggest supporter. Family is very important to Whitney, and when she isn't capturing other families’ special moments on her camera, she is spending precious time with her husband and son.

She has 3 different wedding photography packages that are differentiated by the number of hours of wedding day coverage. Her first wedding package includes 5 hours of wedding coverage and 150 edited digital images for $1,385. This is the perfect package for the budget bride. With 5 hours of coverage, Whitney will capture your whole ceremony, and most of your wedding reception. Her second tier package includes 7 hours of wedding day coverage, 250 edited digital images, and a complimentary engagement session for $1,925. If you're wanting to get photos of you getting ready before the ceremony, this is the right package for you. The third package includes 9 hours of wedding day coverage, 350 edited digital images, a complimentary engagement session, and a complimentary bridal session for $2,475. This is the most inclusive package that Whitney Mabie Photography offers. With this package, your whole wedding will be photographed from getting ready shots, detailed flat lay photos, and your grand exit. In addition to digital photos, Whitney Mabie Photography also provides custom professional printing services for her clients. When booking your wedding photography, it is important to remember that the food, flowers, and even the memories of your wedding will fade over time, but the photos will last a lifetime. Advice from a Professional Wedding Photographer

These vendors are going to play a huge role in your wedding, and it is important that you can trust them. Whitney also stresses the need to book a wedding coordinator for your wedding saying, “I did not hire a wedding coordinator for my wedding, and it is my only wedding regret.” When you book a wedding coordinator, you are hiring a professional to manage your wedding day, vendors, and timeline. Your wedding day is sure to go as planned when you hire a coordinator.
